Daocheng field trip

The "Thousand Eyes Dzi" of the Daocheng High Altitude Astronomical Science Center is a radio telescope with a synthetic aperture consisting of 313 antennas with a diameter of 6 meters and a shape like a pot lid. The telescope operates in the radio frequency band of 150MHz-450MHz, and performs imaging and spectral observations of solar burst activities. The telescope can monitor the amplitude and phase consistency of more than 600 receiving links in real time, realizing the real-time high-resolution "radio camera" function.

The construction of the circular array solar radio imaging telescope can realize real-time monitoring of the sun, monitor solar radio flares, and track the formation, evolution and entry of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) into the interplanetary space. It plays an important role in exploring the dynamic characteristics and changing laws of the solar-terrestrial space environment with high temporal and spatial resolution. The construction of the telescope will also help explore the monitoring and early warning methods of pulsars, fast radio bursts and asteroids.
